1. Information We Collect

Bystander Bingo collects minimal data necessary to operate the app:

• Device Identifier — A randomly generated ID is created on your device and stored securely. This ID is used solely to validate and restore your in-app purchases, and to sync your game session. It is not linked to your name, Apple ID, or any other personal information.
• Purchase Records — When you make an in-app purchase, a record of the product purchased and the transaction ID is stored on our servers (Cloudflare) to enable purchase restoration. No payment information is processed or stored by us — all payment handling is done by Apple or Google.
• Game Session Data — If you host or join a multiplayer room, your chosen player name and marked squares are temporarily stored for the duration of the session. Room data is automatically deleted after the session ends.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• No name, email address, or account information
• No location data
• No contacts or photos
• No browsing history
• No health or fitness data
• No payment card details (handled entirely by Apple/Google)

3. Advertising

Bystander Bingo displays ads provided by Google AdMob. The app is configured to serve non-personalized ads only — we do not request permission to track you across apps and websites, and no ATT (App Tracking Transparency) prompt is shown.

Google AdMob may collect limited device information (such as device type and general location at the country level) to serve ads and prevent fraud. You can learn more about Google's data practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

You can remove all ads permanently by purchasing the Remove Ads upgrade within the app.

4. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data such as which game modes are most popular and how often games are started. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to improve the app.

Analytics data is associated with a randomly generated Firebase installation ID, not your personal identity.

5. Third-Party Services

Bystander Bingo uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare Workers & D1 — Hosts the app backend, multiplayer rooms, and purchase validation. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob — Advertising. Google Privacy Policy
• Firebase Analytics — Anonymized usage analytics. Firebase Privacy
• Apple App Store / Google Play — Payment processing for in-app purchases.

6. Data Retention

• Purchase records — Retained indefinitely to support purchase restoration.
• Multiplayer room data — Deleted automatically after the session expires (typically within 24 hours).
• Analytics data — Retained per Google/Firebase's standard retention policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Bystander Bingo is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your device's purchase records at any time by contacting us. Note that deleting purchase records will remove the ability to restore previous purchases.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data under laws such as GDPR (EU) or CCPA (California). Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
